Tyson Ellert has been a professional drummer and composer for more than 20 years. Currently residing in Chicago, he grew up in a small town in Connecticut and studied with the great Richie LePore (who played with Elvis, Ray Charles, and Bette Midler). In addition to touring and recording extensively with Martha Berner, Katie Todd, and Jeff Pitchell, Ellert has performed all over the world on bills with the likes of BB King, Buddy Guy, the B52s, Katy Perry, the Goo Goo Dolls, and many others. He can be seen in and around Chicago performing in his jazz/fusion/electronic group ElectroVibe, and his recent compositions can be heard on Nike commercials.
